US fire apparatus

American LaFrance

American LaFrance brochures and catalogues from the early 1970s on the 900 and 1000 series, for model builders.

American LaFrance has been building fire engines of all kinds since 1832. It all started back then in Elmira, New York State. The history of ALF has had its ups and downs, but regardless of that I would like to show copies of brochures and catalogues that ALF sent me in the early 1970s. They are about types and technology, in other words everything that interests us model builders. The AMT/Matchbox kits are well known to us as models, and anyone interested in them has probably built one or two. These are the 900 and 1000 series.
